Ergonomic/Movement Consultations – Feldenkrais® Style

Ergonomic Consultations – Feldenkrais® Style

So many of us are working from home in these days of COVID 19. Even if we are not working, we are typically spending more time in front of screens. Yes, technology is something I am grateful for right now.

That being said, are you experiencing new aches and pains, or increases in pre-existing ones? I can help with that virtually.

Traditionally ergonomics evaluations are a lot about getting the right equipment. Here is how what I offer is different:

  • Focus is more on your posture, alignment and self-use.
  • Though I might recommend some new product as optimal, we will work with what you have at home.
  • Feldenkrais practitioners speak a lot about variation. We will explore options. If you really like to sit in bed with your laptop, we will figure out how to best do that!

Here is one client experience …

recently worked with Marsha on an ergonomic session.. She gave me some great tips but the one that has stood out for me the most was so simple, but it’s something I’ve been able to benefit from many times since then. She had me simply visualize her putting her hands on my shoulders with a little pressure, and sense into what would happen in my body as she did that. In our session I felt an immediate rebalancing of my torso and hips, more erect, aligned and relaxed at the same time.  Marsha has such clarity and knowing about the body and what’s needed and her magic comes through even over the internet! – KJS

Thank you Kristine.

Here is how this will work:

  • Please contact me via the contact page on this site.
  • We will schedule a short complimentary Zoom meeting to find out what you need and assure that things can be set up technologically so that I can see what I need to see.
  • Assuming all is good you may choose from 2 options:
    • OPTION 1 – A single consultation session with the addition of a bit of gentle movement. Cost is $120 payable when scheduling
    • OPTION 2 – Two sessions where the first will be as above, and the second will be a follow up as to how you are doing, as well as additional guided movement. Cost is $200 for both sessions, payable as a package when scheduling. Second session must be scheduled within 60 days of the first one and is a follow up regarding the initial consultation.
